Set dentist working hours

Tell the calendar when each dentist works, at each branch.

Settings → Schedule & booking → Dentist hours. Required, and the step people most often skip and then wonder why the calendar won’t offer any times.

Why the app insists on this

Working hours are not decoration. A dentist only gets a calendar column at a branch where they have hours — so with none set, they simply don’t appear, which looks like a broken calendar rather than a missing setting. Hours also decide what your public booking page offers patients.

Inside the app, booking outside a dentist’s hours is a soft warning, never a hard block. The hours shade non-working time and the app tells you when you’re outside them, but it lets you go ahead — because sometimes you genuinely do squeeze someone in at 6pm.

Hours are per dentist, per branch

That pairing matters if you have more than one location. A dentist who is at Makati on Mondays and Cebu on Thursdays gets two sets of hours, and the calendar keeps them apart — so nobody can be booked in two cities at the same hour.

If you have one branch, it’s just one set of hours per dentist.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Schedule & booking → Dentist hours.
  2. Pick a dentist, and a branch if you have more than one.
  3. Set the days they work and the hours on each day.
  4. Save, and repeat for each dentist.

Lunch, half-days and days off

Set the hours to match reality rather than to match the clinic’s opening sign. A dentist who finishes at 3pm on Fridays should have 3pm on Fridays — otherwise the booking page will keep offering 4pm to patients, and someone will have to phone them back.

For one-off absences — a seminar, a holiday, a closed afternoon — don’t edit the working hours. Use Settings → Schedule & booking → Blocked time instead, so the regular pattern stays intact and comes back on its own.

Next: price your procedures.
