Add your team and tag your dentists

Invite staff, and mark which of them are dentists — scheduling needs at least one.

Settings → Team → Members. This is the first required step on the setup checklist, and the one everything else waits on: the calendar can’t book anyone until it knows who a dentist is.

Tagging a dentist is not the same as inviting someone

Two separate ideas, and mixing them up is the usual confusion here:

A member is anyone who can log in — a receptionist, an assistant, the owner.
The dentist tag marks a member as someone patients can be booked with. Only tagged dentists appear in the calendar, in working hours, and on a progress note as the treating dentist.

You can be both. A solo dentist who runs their own front desk is one member, tagged as a dentist.

Steps

Go to Settings → Team → Members.
Tag yourself as a dentist if you treat patients. This alone completes the required step for a solo practice — you don’t have to invite anyone.
To add someone else, invite them by email. They get a link, set their own password, and land in your clinic. You never type or see their password.
Give each person a role. Roles decide what they can open — see branches, roles and who sees what.
Assign each member to the branch or branches they work at. Someone assigned to one branch works with that branch’s patients — and can still find a patient from another branch by name, so nobody ends up typed in twice.

Team members are unlimited on every plan

Invite the whole clinic. There is no per-seat charge for staff, on any plan.

Dentists are the counted number — Starter includes 1, Basic 2, Pro 8, and extra dentist seats are ₱150 a month each. That’s the dial to watch when you hire, not headcount.

If someone leaves

Deactivate them rather than deleting them. Their name stays attached to the notes, payments and audit entries they created — which is the point of an audit trail, and what the Data Privacy Act expects of a clinical record. A deactivated member can’t log in.
